About Me

Hi, I’m Kate Nicole.

I’m a trauma recovery coach, and I help women rebuild their lives after trauma—so they can move out of survival mode and create a life they’re truly proud of.

For 12 years, I was in an abusive marriage.

I didn’t know how to get out.
And even more than that… I didn’t know if I could ever build a life that actually felt worth living afterward.

When I finally left, I didn’t feel like myself anymore.

I didn’t feel human.
I didn’t feel like anything was left.

But I had children.

And I knew I wanted more for them.

I became a mom young—my first son at 19.
At 22, I had an amazing experience being a surrogate

for a beautiful couple.

Over the years, my family grew in ways I never could have planned.

I adopted a sibling group at ages 7 and 10, and later adopted a 16-year-old girl.
I went on to have three more children, each of them homebirths that were deeply meaningful to me.

Two more daughter and another son. I had 7 children.

Motherhood has been one of the most defining parts of my life.

It’s also come with deep complexity.

After my divorce, my adopted sons chose to reconnect with their biological family and go no contact with me.

That’s a painful reality I carry—but I also respect their decision.

Because love doesn’t always look the way we expect it to

and adoption can be complex.

Out of respect for them and myself, I now say I have five children.

Though they will always be in my heart.

Today, I’m still deeply connected to my family.

My oldest daughter has given me four grandchildren.
My oldest son has graduated, and I now homeschool my three youngest.

I live a life rooted in intention—homesteading, raising my children, and even training my dogs in competitive obedience and agility.

My niece has also become more like a daughter.

Nearly being a birthday twin to my oldest son.

But everything began to shift during a personal development seminar.

We were asked to climb a rock wall.

I’m terrified of heights.

I made it a few steps up… and froze.

I couldn’t move.

Then the instructor called up to me:

“Is this where you would want Bryson to stop?”

Bryson is my oldest son.

In that moment, everything changed.

I realized I didn’t want my children to stop because of fear.
I didn’t want them to live limited by what they thought they couldn’t do.

I wanted them to climb.
To keep going.
To believe in something more.

And I realized something even deeper:

If I wanted that for them…
I had to live that way first.

That meant healing.
That meant facing what I had been through.
That meant rebuilding my life—even when it felt impossible.

I got help.

I went through trauma counseling and spiritual coaching.
I committed to understanding what had happened to me—and how to move forward.

Eventually, I earned my Master’s degree in Trauma Counseling and Crisis Intervention.

But more than anything…

I lived it.

I know what it feels like to believe there’s nothing left.

To feel broken.
To not see a future for yourself.

And I also know this:

Even when you can’t see it yet…
there is still a life waiting for you.

I believe that no matter what you’ve been through,
you can heal and create a life you truly want to live.

Now, I help women do exactly that.

I can help you:

  • Discover what you actually want for your life after trauma
  • Create a clear, realistic path to get there
  • Stay focused and grounded by defining your “why”
  • Shift the story you’ve been telling yourself into one that supports your growth

And if you’re a mom…

This matters even more.

Because children don’t do what you say—they do what you do.

The way you live becomes the example they follow.

When you choose to heal, grow, and rebuild your life,
you’re not just changing your future—

you’re shaping theirs.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.

You don’t have to do this perfectly.

You just have to be willing to take the next step.

If you’re ready to start rebuilding your life in a way that feels strong, steady, and yours…

I’m here to help.

You are not broken.
And your story is not over.
